Founded in 1976 as Richmond Lock & Key, back then we focused on securing local businesses and their assets with locks and safes throughout the greater Richmond area. In 2007, the company was purchased by security industry veteran Stephen H. Wilkinson, with a vision to transition the business to the next level and into the world of electronic security. Today, Richmond Security serves the Richmond, Virginia area and the mid-Atlantic’s commercial and residential security needs through locksmith services and mechanical locks, access control, video surveillance, depository safes, and alarm and monitoring systems.
